Step-by-Step Creation Guide
Step 1: Tree Cutout on JAVELIN CNC Sawjet | Program 1
The process starts with cutting the tree shapes out of a slab. We used quartz on our JAVELIN CNC Sawjet. Thanks to its advanced waterjet capabilities, the JAVELIN handles intricate designs like this with ease.
Step 2: Edges Polished on TITAN CNC Router (Optional) | Program 2
If you want to give your tree a polished, finished look, move the cutout to the TITAN CNC router. The TITAN polishes the edges with precision, creating a sleeker finish. If you deem polished edges aren’t necessary for your tree or you want to polish by hand, this step can be skipped, and the entire cutout can be completed on your sawjet in one program. A program file is also included for doing it this way (CompleteCutoutProgram in link below).
Step 3: Reloading onto JAVELIN for Shape Cutouts | Programs 3 & 4
If you followed step 2, reload the tree onto your machine for the interior shape cutouts. This step is must come after running it on your CNC router because it allows the vacuum pods more surface area to ensure their is sufficient suction power. The JAVELIN will quickly and precisely cut out smaller shapes in this phase, reducing the weight of the tree and providing spaces for decorative elements like ornaments or lights.
